Andy's Bio Q: What is your favorite project that you have ever worked on? A: I worked on a project for UK company that needed a Web site to monitor deliveries across the country. We used a mapping product to display delivery locations for the next week, to help the company optimize its delivery strategy. The Web application was implemented with ASP.NET 1.1 and used SQL Server 2000 to store delivery data at the backend. We also needed to interact with a few Web services to pull in latest data from the central office. The final application had some cool user interface features, as well as some more conventional aspects such as user controls and DataGrids (and this was before the advent of GridViews!). Q: When you're not plugged into work, what are you doing? A: I try to get out for a run most days, and I enjoy skiing. I also enjoy watching football (with a round ball) and rugby. Q: What puts you into the (creative/production) mode and gets the creative juices flowing? A: Deadlines definitely help! Generally I try to work in small increments, to get a constant feeling of progress. It's a nice feeling when you get a bright idea and you can see how you're going to implement it.
