Q:

What is your favorite project you have ever worked on?
A: My favorite project I ever worked on was working on a rich internet application for TV Guide. All of the television data for every cable network in the country was on the server, and it was fun to manipulate and display the information in the Flash Player using a rich Internet application. It was also fun to customize the existing component framework to create a really cool user experience.

Q:

When you're not plugged into work, what are you doing?
A: I love to travel to foreign countries and experience new cultures. I also love running, cycling, surfing, and almost any outdoor activity. I love different types of cuisine, and have a special fondness for anything really spicy.

Q:

What are your three favorite features of Flex 2?
A: 1). Being able to provide the same architecture to my client side applications as my server side applications using the event based model of ActionScript 3.

2). Calling remote methods from my client side application and retrieving data via the Action Message protocol using the Remote Object Class.

3). Customizing the look and feel of my application using all of the styling and skinning available in the Flex framework.

Tip #1
You should try to limit the number of style sheets used in an application, and set the style sheet only at the top-level document in the application (the document that contains the <mx:Application> tag). If you set a style sheet in a child document, unexpected results can occur.

Tip #2
The creationComplete event for the Application form occurs at the start of your application, after the Application form and its children are initialized. The event handler for the creationComplete event provides you with a convenient place to run ActionScript code to register event listeners.
